Zac Brown Band is one of my favorite artists besides Jason Aldean. Zac Brown Band released their first album "The Foundation" in 2008 and it has been all up hill from there. Last year alone they won a well desevered Grammy for "Best New Artist". They also won "Top New Vocal Group" and "Breakthrough Video of the Year" from the Academy of Country Music Awards and CMT in 2009. The many songs such as, "Chicken Fried" and "Toes", that made it all the way to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Chart were long awaited by Zac Brown who said "it took 13 years" to get to that point. There is much more to come from the Zac Brown Band as they are currently touring around the country and recently went over seas to sing for our troops.
I actually saw this band live by accident. They were opening up for one of my favorites and we got to the show a bit early. I was not a huge fan myself, but I could see the allure for those who enjoy this type of music.
ReplyDeleteI got to see Zac Brown Band in concert at the Chili Cook-off in January, they're great live! I love seeing country artists supporting out troops and helping better our communities.
ReplyDeleteA fan of Zac Brown Band myself, I love their sound and lyrics as much as I love them. Seeing them live at the Chili Cook-Off was a great experience for me, as I am an avid fan of theirs. Two of my favorite songs that Zac Brown Band signs would have to be "Free" and "Chicken Fried." Although I am a big fan, I did not know it took them 13 years to get to the point where they were producing songs that made it to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Chart. I hope that they keep it up with their awesome songs. Nice blog, I will definitely be on this one a lot.
